Also I'd like to add, if there's an "i" anywhere OUTSIDE the ceramic area, it's an engineering sample _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

no gold heatspreader? - then its the more recent pentium ( 75Mhz + . Not the P60 and P66 - SX753 SX754 )... many of them out there. |

I have an SX835 with blank gold heatspreader. Nothing strange.

You absolutely confident? Cause I actually see no traces of a logo on it. And I've always thought that it came without one. _________________ Collecting soviet and western CPUs once again -- highfive to old-timers o/ |

100%
Heatsink took logo off or previous owner removed logo by preparing heatsink for thermal interface material.
I even know a member of this forum who used wire wool to remove the last traces of the pentium pro logo from a Qspec pentium pro. This was before he knew what a Qspec was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| The logo's really didn't stick well to the gold surface I have many partials and some with no logos. I even have an sx835 that the intel came off perfectly leaving the pentium and processor fully intact. Go figure. |

Pics of heatsinks
Pulled from either a P75 or 90... left me with a clean gold cap.
Same for the P60
