One of my friends over the past year has been helping someone that I now is known as Neon_WA or Stu on this forum.
I have met him & he has been wanting fix what he can in regards to other collectors. Somethings will be impossible for to correct, but what he can he will do.
I won't go into too much detail in open forum, but his life prior to 2014 pushed him to live on the streets/bush until 2019, when he was diagnosed with a blood cancer.
My friend has been helping him with some form of accommodation, getting to treatment & the like.
Stu doesn't have access to his old account here, but will look into it.
Until then anything you post I can pass on or he if he can get good reception see the posts as a guest |

I use to talk to him daily until his disappearance.
Even sent the Perth Constable looking for him once LOL
Glad to hear he is still around _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Sad news...
I have an unfinished business with Neon_WA from 2013-2014, should I post it here or send a PM? |

Sad news. But it's good that he was found. I hope everything will turn out for the best. It seems to me better to write in a PM. _________________ Wanted: 4 x VT-25-A tubes |

Talking to Stu the past week & relaying your messages gave him a big smile, plus he decided that some info he was happy to post public so everyone was aware of events & the possible future.
Stu has been dealing with blood cancer since December 2018. He has just had to stop treatment number 12 as the side-effects had got too severe. This treatment only lasted 2 months & previous treatments have averaged only 3 months.
So bottom line, at present he has about 3 or 4 more options left on the table, so his goal at present is to still be here in 18 months.
His total chip collection & spares were stolen, thrown away or destroyed by his ex partner.
Stu did not suffer a mental breakdown. Stu had been on the receiving end of DV since the the early/mid 90s. He did suffer from PTSD which took him 3 - 4 years to get beyond.
He lived on the streets or off the land from 2014 until late 2018.
I am presently helping him with paperwork to release some of his pension money early so he can pay any out-standing debts left over from 2014.
Once he gets his new treatment sorted he will contact Genna about getting access to his old profile, but said he would post an email address now if this thread got moved to a hidden forum section.
Again he said he was thankful for all your messages & hopefully will be able to talk to all directly soon.

Be nice to talk to him again
I still have/use lots of the research he worked on on lots, dates, etc
And he still has a working AVICC account lol, and probably a few boxes still here LOL _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

I'm not sure what chips Stu was interested in, but on the off chance he wants to start collecting again, I'm happy to give him my spares since I'm also in WA. _________________ My WTB List

Good to hear Stu is still around and it is sad to hear his tragedy.
He is very nice to us and definitely a valuable contributor to the forum. Hope he is getting better.
And also thanks to Stephen who reached out and helped Stu to overcome the difficult time.
Looking forward to hear from Stu soon _________________ Want List
