Intel S82093A (labelled S82093AA) is an I/O APIC chip for those Intel 430 and 440 series chipsets with multiprocessing capability. Single processor configurations needn't it. Also useful in modding some boards into dual processing by soldering the second CPU socket and this chip.
It is actually the 1st dedicated x86 I/O APIC as the previous Intel 82489DX is a multipurpose local and I/O APIC for 486 CPUs.
