If it is a good power supply (enermax, antec, tagan,...etc), no.

If it is a no-name, yes...

A good power supply is an essential investment. Buy a really good one and it will last for YEARS. I have had too many system problems from poor power supplies in the past, so I never skimp on the PSU. You dont need to buy the gimmicky power supplies.. just pick a good brand name with more power than you think you need. One less thing to worry about!

A 120mm fan is nice as well. I recently got a great price on a new 500w power supply that has one of the giant 120mm fans on the bottom. My case is much quieter now. Makes me think about upgrading my processor fan to a zalman to complete the muffling.

I defintily agree with JAC, never scimp on the PSU, buy brand name, and more watts never hurts, maybe you'll wanna add some other stuff later-and you'll be ok Smile
