Since Today I'm using new eBay payment system without PayPal.
Buyer pay for item and shipping. I'm getting netto ammount (after charging eBay fees) directly to my bank account in original currency. No PayPal friends in this buisness means no PayPal fee and no problem to exchange currency on ridicilous rates. I say bye bye to PayPal too _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

ebay increased their seller fees from 10% to 12.8% here. Still cheaper, but it takes a few days for them to pay into the bank. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

No, you just have to give them your bank account details _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

No, you just have to give them your bank account details |
Gives them access to your bank to process any refunds automatically, whether or not you approve
They also charge an additional couple percent for international transactions, and make a few more percent on currency exchange.
No better then Paypal _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Not letting them dip me for refunds without my approval or the item back in my hands first. No more ebay for sales for me. |

eBay prompted me to switch to Payonner.
But Payonner cannot shop from eBay. . . .
There may be an annual fee of $35 for opening a credit card. |

They used refunds automatically over PayPal too. Even if seller had 0,00 balance they put on debet and initiate debt collection procedures if not paid.

In my case I sell in EUR and receive EUR so no currency exchange. I must read about details about international transaction who pays what.
I still have 10% fees on ebay.de and old rules about order cancellation - if I cancel transaction I'm getting back my all basic fees except for promotion or any additional options which I don't use.
In Poland on Allegro we have even 15% fees

I believe for US members it is not better. If we like it or not from that what they said all sellers in this year will be transfered to new payment method.
EDIT : I have made a call to my bank and there is no way to grab funds back from my account automatically for a refunds. There are open doors for credit card subscription payments but eBay do not have my actual card info and after last verification they only asked for basic bank account details. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

CPU sold to Denmark 15,99 EUR include shipping.
Sale fee from total ammount 9,243697% = 1,48 EUR
International transaction fee as item was sold to Denmark on eBay Germany 1,6% = 0,26 EUR
Another sale fee for final ammount 10,00+ EUR - flat = 0,29 EUR
Total fees = 2,03 EUR + 0,46 EUR VAT (in Poland 23%)
Grand total = 2,49 EUR what is about ~ 15% of original ammount
Almost two days they keep funds (maybe that is time to cancel order) and then made a bank transfer for 13,50 EUR.
Summary. That is almost the same as was before. I wonder how fees would like to be if buyer will be from Asia. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

It's worse for me than before because all money from overseas sales is automatically converted to local currency for transfer to my bank account. With Paypal I had an account balance in various currencies. So for example when I would sell things to the USA I'd keep the money in USD in my Paypal account, then when I wanted to buy something from the USA I would pay using my $US balance with zero currency conversion. Now all my US sales get converted to AUD, and when I buy from the USA I have to convert my AUD back. I lose about 6% in the process.
It works out about the same for local sales though, but the shortened payment cycles are annoying. The longest I can leave a payout is a week. I usually buy postage through eBay, and they frequently send a payout one week, then take money the week after for the postage because they don't process the sale proceeds and the postage for those goods at the same time. |

eBay still accept Paypal as a payment option, they just no longer pay out to Paypal, they only pay into bank accounts. That has improved, as it's now (at least here) next day. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
