Hi,
this is a cpu-terminator for socket370 cpu, used on dual-cpu motherboard when only one cpu is installed.

I found one of these the other day as well. Extracted it myself so pins are perfect. First one I ever found. I could be persuaded to trade it for a decent offer. I really don't collect 370's.

Two another question:

1. What is it?

2. Motorola XC68040RC33M cpu is rare? I read XC means "Pilot production device" but i saw too many. How much this cpu is worth?

Thanks!

It is not a para risc. I collect them so I know what they all look like. I get the sneeking suspicion I have seen this chip before but I do not have one in my collection. Looks a great deal like an lsi I have in my collection with the gold opposing brackets looking things ][. Why don't you just tell us what the text says. That should solve this in short order?

When I saw this chip I was sure I've seem similar somewhere but where? I didnt find anything. Seller has only this picture and as he wrote the cpu there is on a half broken board. We dont know more. The "buy it now" price is around $8,5 so I think I'll see this closer Smile

Anything about the Motorola cpu? I'm thinking about that. There is with a cpu board a daystar chip on it. The price is same.

Thanks!

I bought this CPU. Razz
By the help of a part number (54-20768-01) I found some infos. This is (was) a VAXstation 4000 VLC motherboard so the cpu is a "KA48, SOC 25MHz (40ns), 6KB on chip cache" (whatever it means Embarassed )
