386 Twins?

I was putting my 386 CPU's into a spreadsheet, did a sort by date code
and found identical twins. Question

I was not aware that could happen. I guess I always assumed the internal codes on the back of the chips were unique but the must refer to a specific production run consisting of many chips. Shows what I know.

Somebody already told that about 2 idnetical 486.
In fact, I think that it was possible before Pentiums, because serialization number started only with them.
