I have had Today strange thing with Fedex. I have sent old vintage VGA card declaring 45GBP value and describing content. Fedex courier picked up the package but after a few hours I got call phone from sorting centre about that sales invoice is missing and they cann't proceed without it. They require it to every single package which goes to UK. I have asked if I will send a bread and own made sausage to family if they will ask me for sales invoice too : they answered YES ! If I would try attach print from eBay but that is not a sales invoice and for a bit higher value they wouldn't accept is as they accept packages from private persons for value lower than 50GBP for higher value me as "exporter" must have EORI number (assigned only for companies). Unbelievable things have been happening lately. I don't know if these are local Fedex rules or what is going on ? _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Depends on the exporting country, from the US, sending to UK EORI number/registration is required over 600GBP, pain in the arse (been working at my friends company for the holidays shipping Christmas ornaments all over the world and recently ran into this. _________________ New for 2025! I've not had to produce extra paperwork for items leaving the UK (only sent low value parcels to Norway) and no packages arriving from Europe (just BluRay discs, even lower value) have needed it. I wonder whether it is a Fedex issue, aimed at avoiding issues? _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I think all EU countries have same rules in trading with UK now.

When sending small CPUs over traditional post office in envelope mail there is no issues. I have found that some companies exit from delivering to UK after Brexit : for sure GLS and something else I have read so I suspect that is a problem with packages where are typical goods inside not mail. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
