I am testing one of my ATX2AT adapters on an Intel Premier/PCI II (https://www.ultimateretro.net/ro/motherboards/3164 motherboard with a P54C/90 MHz CPU.

Upon power on, I get an overcurrent error on 12v error on the OLED, no matter what I set the DIP switches to. I have upgraded to firmware 1.21, and set the maximum allowed (4.75 VDC) on the 12v line, with no effect.

Last time I tested this board, it was indeed working fine. I believe that the ATX2AT should be able to power this board?

My next step will be to start checking for shorted caps, but this board is pretty late for that kind of thing, and there are no obvious failures.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
- Alex

Check if the 12V fuse is not blown with a multimeter if you can.

If it's not blown, there is probably an issue somewhere as exceeding 5A on +12V rail on that motherboard is clearly not expected.

This is a brilliant idea! Let me know about availability. Could it be adapted for an XT? My dad has collected a ton of them (I almost literally mean that), and this would be good to safely test them out, when pulling them out of storage.
