The intent of the thread is to offer moral support to anyone who is suffering, not to be political. Not all Russians are responsible for the atrocities. Please refrain from generalisations like that. Many of us are praying that this will end soon, we are supportive of your situation, and we are against the actions of Putin and his military. I hope you are safe in the midst of the hell that is all around you, but please don't blame all Russians.

I see refugees from the eastern parts of Ukraine every day. Most of them lost everything they had. They have nowhere to go.
I gave my own flat to a family from Kyiv whose house was bombed.
My friends got called into the army and I'm not sure if they will come back.
I personally know a few people who already died.
I'm not sure if I will be alive in 2023.
Civilian houses are being bombed to empty the cities.

I'm grateful to Russians in St. Petersburg and Moscow who went on protests against the War. Unfortunately, they are less than 1% of the population.

Polls show 70% of Russians support this war. And another 29% are doing nothing to stop it. How should I feel about them?

It's not the first time Ukrainians are being killed by Russians here is some history lesson. My grandma was still alive to tell the story.

Try to understand what Ukrainians are going through right now.
It's easy to stay tolerant from a warm safe house with food in your fridge.

To Moderators and Admin. Please correct/remove only those part of speech which is violates the regulations or it is considered as hate speech. It is Offtopic thread so apa4 shouldn't be threated because of his reports from battleground. It is war and we can't gag his mouth as he is going through a tragedy. I'm refraining from writing my opinion and even giving clear support in words to whole UA country as it is only mine point of view but let's try to put ourselves in his position and try to understand it.

Stay safe apa4.

IMHO it's better to avoid this kind of topic in a computer hardware forum, even in the "off topic" section, as it can easily become political and divide people. Most active forum members here have been around for a long time and know each other well. I feel for all people suffered in the war. Everyone hopes this will end soon but this forum is really not a place to go further into it. People come to this place because it is a CPU forum, not another Facebook or Twitter.

I suggest changing the section name from "Off Topic" to "Other CPU Related Topics".

IMHO it is importing to talk about this and not to delete this Threat.

Some of our members at the moment have big problems because of tis war and it should still be possible for them to tell about it.

The war is "real life" and every (even virtual) support is important

I hope this war will end soon, people will get back to their homes and everything will get back to normal.

Nevertheless, I do not want this forum to turn into war zone, so, from now on, I'm going to delete all politically-motivated posts, including posts that blames countries, nations, etc.

The thread will be locked.
You're welcome to open a new thread if you want to offer help or moral support to our Ukrainian members.
