Because the toothbrush brush the paint off, so the bubbles of the fake one are not white. _________________ Yan |

Nice! I noticed that one your fake chip and one chipfans' chip had L5260686-XXXX FPO number. Before I saw two other fake PCPU3V100 with similar FPO number, so I think it's safe to assume that most of PCPU3V100 processor with L5260686-XXXX are fakes. I found pictures of three other PCPU3V100 processors that looked to me like fakes. Their numbers are:
L5290469-XXXX
L5300194-XXXX
L5131665-XXXX
Does anybody have any other fake PCPU3V100 CPUs with these or other FPO numbers?

Note on the bubble works:
Hmmmmm.......not sure that would always work tho...
What if the good one was clean and the fake one just happens to have dirt not visible to the eye?
Wouldn't be exactly accurate then because the bubbles would brown up with dirt too. Or if both were dirty for instants...
Nice idea tho, but still not accurate enough for me.

If the dirt is not visible to the naked eye, there is unlikely to be enough to make such a difference to the colour of the bubbles. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Yes. it is not accurate enough.
But you can see in the pictures, It's the paint on the fake chip make the bubbles brown up.
Maybe we can't identify all the fake ceramic processor by this bubble works, but all the fake PCPU3V90/100 I've found have some paint to cover the logo/text. _________________ Yan |
