HY57V641620HG is SDRAM. Rage 128 doesn't support DDR, too old for that. Sadly there are only 4 memory chips = 64-bit data path.

the PCB has the pads for 4 more, so you could roll your own 8 chip model

Yeah technically, but Rage 128 is maxed at 32Mb, so additional 32Mb won't yield anything except bandwidth
