Are others experiencing significant delays from the German Post?

An untracked letter that was sent almost 2 weeks ago is still yet to arrive, but they are expected to be delivered in Switzerland after 2-3 days...
Not a valuable item, but it would still be annoying to lose it... In another hand, stuffs from Japan sent after it already arrived...

Is there any known delays, or am I just unlucky?
There is Covid, but it should not really affect the postal services anymore... Or does it in Germany?

No, DHL/Post is not slow in general, with UPs one of the most reliable services. Maybe you're unlucky.

Or customs? And via post we have the option "Warensendung", its a slow option, but very cheap. That could also be a reason.

It should be the Standard €1.1 Brief International unless the seller decided to use something else...

Customs here don't take more than a few days normally, usually 1-2 days or even a few minutes if they are in a good mood.

So I guess that I am unlucky then if there are no generalized complaints or particular announcements from the Deutsche Post.
I don't really mind waiting, but losing the mail would really annoy me, and after so long, every new day increases the probability of this scenario Neutral
