Interesting read. I didn't know there was/is an SR-3.

What on earth is that at the bottom of the case in that pic? Looks like the top of a leather seat Smile

Nice article. Lots of info in there.

One small possible correction - in the AMD Quadfather section, paragraph 2 reads:

The processors were sold in pairs at prices ranging from $600 for a pair of low-end models (FX-74) to $1,000 for a pair of top-end Athlon 64 FX-74 clocked at exactly 3 GHz.


The low end CPU for this platform was FX-70 at $600 for the pair; FX-74 was the high end.
