The PNX1502E is a 32-bit VLIW processor based on the Trimedia TM3260 core
This is the second generation of the Trimedia VLIW core and doubles the instruction case to 64k (Data cache remains 16k)
They support full IEE754 Floating point and have 128 32-bit registers. It can issue up to 5 instructions per clock cycle
Fun fact about these, the core was designed by Jan-Willem van de Waerdt, who now works for Enphase , and designed the solar panel controller, that is attached to the CPU Shack now running my array.
10x Philips PNX1502E/G 300MHz
10x NXP PNX1502E/G 300MHz
$5 for a pair _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
