I've been collecting IBM Mainframe and Server Processors for years and found they have the most complicated naming rules and family groups.

Been thinking on building the logics to sort out my IBM giant MCM/TCM collection. At least to know what I've already had and what I am looking for my Giant processor collection.

Start with S/390 and zSeries and will update more over time.

I've started with building the timeline, and index of some series.

S/390 Series

zSeries

Information are gather from CPU-World, IBM Archive, Wikipedia and the Internet. And of course photos from my own collection.

Thanks and credit to @pixelmanca and @apa4 for your sharing and support!

Look at "Book Navigation" tree on the left, any pages with model number are the MCM/TCM in my collection. Should be several in zSeries and a couple in S/390.

Still updating the rest of them from time to time.

Very nice! The z195 is a typo though.

Indeed, it was a typo and fixed now

Reading your Wikipedia...It is so helpful to complete the timeline for zSeries.

Thank you!
