At the moment the only thing we know for sure is a date code on the back - if there is one. We dont really need to know that back date as there is a date on the front. If there are other numbers we dont know what they are telling us, and I dont think we will. So I still think it is too much risk to desolder.

I cut the board with a saw to leave a 5mm space around the chip. Easier for storing. Otherwise I would end up with broken pins. _________________ Collecting soviet and western CPUs once again -- highfive to old-timers o/ |
