I have a bunch of PowerPC processors in collection, but don't have time to take pictures and upload them to my site. I know other collectors have them too.

I don't have one for trade. I have only two Power chips in my collection, and no spares. Here is one of my chips:

I just sold the last of the uncommon ones I had on e-bay last week. I still have an xc68040rc25m and xc68040rc25b lying around. the former is mint the latter has some pins bent. Either is worth about $3.00 plus shipping to me (thats about their scrap value as they are pretty gold rich.) I'm not sure that their worth that collectability wise as their pretty easy to come by. If your interested though give me a holler.
Also, about two months ago I bought a couple power pc chips from pinkie. You might ask him if he has more. |

So cute...! What is it ? A POWER1 processor ? Is it usually covered by a cap ? _________________ My microprocessor collection: The Gecko's CPU Library |

It looks similar to IBM marketing sample below, so I assumed it's a Power3. I think the chip had a cap, but it was removed.

Here is an IBM Power2 from my collection. The ceramic is same size as the long edge of a Ppro. The first two pictures are from my collection. I have not been brave enough to try to force off the heat sink mounting plate. The 3rd picture showing the dies is not my picture. I got it from a collector who got it from another collector... I would really like to get the heat sink mounting plate off of my chip so I can see the dies, but the bond is very strong. Has anyone here take one of these apart?
