We saw some doubles and triples..... I got these today.
And 5 identical SX931 from another group, 6 identical SX797 and 3 identical SX902. These are all NOS.

The best I can figure this is that they are all from the same wafer. The most I have seen the same before are 4 identicals. Nice chips Smile

As I have already said, before Pentium, no Serialization code, only FPO number, so there can be 1000+ identical cpus...
It is not incredible at all Confused

The serial code on the back matches as well Marcin. I dont know if that number is a wafer code for sure, but there must be some way for Intel to trace back to batches if there was a problem. If it is a wafer code, and depending on the yield from the wafer then I think the number is much less than 1000.

Does anyone know the wafer yeilds on the 486?
