|
|
As Pentium 4 era is now over or almost (welcome Core 2 ), I just completed my information page about Pentium 4 cpus, and I think (hope) I've finished to list every different models.
Every different models, I mean, without counting every Sspec. And I was quite amazed of the number of different models.
So here is a little poll about this number. How many they are and so, how hard will it be to collect them and complete the family in the future ? _________________ Register on x86-guide.net to manage and share your collection on-line !

what makes older chips more collectable is the fact that their production run's were shorter, and/or have fiew variations of the CPU itself.
I think there's a hundred to a couple hundred models of P4 (Ranging from the socket 423 all the way to socket 775). I don't think collecting P4/AMD k8's will come in my scope anytime soon. _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

hehe, I totally agree with the above comments - I'll add Pentium 4 and later production chips (and equivalents) to my collection only when/if I either get given them or get them for stupidly cheap prices (or have a brain fart when I've got money in my pocket, but that doesn't happen as often as it used to...) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
