That question is tricky...
If I'm the seller, then ya, ofcourse I prefer selling on Ebay, cause I get more from it.
But, as a buyer, obviously tis better to deal here as by it now(deal directly with dealer) in the forum.

Where is fourth variant : buy it now on other non-eBay auction ? Smile CPUWorld trade section is best in whole world ... eBay stinks (overpriced, high shipping cost, too much competition LOL)

When you have an unusual Chip it can be hard to determine what it's value is so in that case an eBay Auction is the best option.
For example I recently aquired a UMC Chip Marked Confidential and had no idea of it's value so the best way to determine that was to auction it on eBay. If I had tried to determine it's value myself I may well have overpriced it.
If some sort of auction system could be set up on CPU world then that may be an ideal medium to determine values.

Just my Humble opinion.

Cheers all

I hate auctions

if you put an overpriced cpu on CPU-World, you will not sell it. Then if you lower price, you usually find a buyer when the price gets more appropriate...

100% agree. And on forum you not waste so much time as on eBay looking on 90% scrap auction with prices from space Smile

I prefer to buy here, as it's more likely that I will get what I pay for (I just received a K6-2/500AFX from someone on eBay, but I had paid for a K6-2/500ADK - one is mobile and not too common, the other, which I was sent, is hardly worth paying scrap prices for, let alone my winning bid of $4.99 plus extortionate shipping!!!!)
