Yepp, it was on the "Mikroprozessortechnik" in 1989 - unfortunately I cannot find my copy of this magazine :S
@isa-d: At the time of development of the U80601 Germany was still devided into two parts - Siemens was from the western, MME from the eastern part. I do not think, that they developed a chip package together.
