I had no idea 845 chipsets could run Prescotts, let alone 64-bit ones... _________________ My WTB List

Necropost; Confirming that the SL7QB will work on my Asus P4P800SE. Haven't tested on a 64-bit OS, though, but CPU-Z reported EMT-64.
POSTed with old 1006 BIOS, but couldn't get into settings, and crashed before OS boot.
After flashing the mentioned 1012 beta BIOS (using another CPU) I have booted WinXP 32-bit and run 3DMark 2001. |

AOpen AX4SG Max 2 (Intel 865G) Failed with SL7QB, Latest 1.06 Bios.
Posts but then hangs just after the Pci Devices Listing (before "Verifying Dmi Pool Data"). For some reason it is recognized as a Genuine Intel 1.4 GHz and at the same time 6 GHz Lol
Bios Settings can be entered and Multiplier somehow changed... It is a bit buggy like the 1.4 GHz is actually 16x, and I could set it to 30x which showed as 2.8 GHz during Post.
No way to check if the Multiplier is effectively applied since I cannot go past the Pci Devices Page... Brand Name remains at "6 GHz" in all cases.
Cannot reasonably set the Fsb to 200 as it does not let the Ddr Ram run at something other than 533 with this Cpu... _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |

Hi Carlos,
I have the SL7QB and an ASRock P4I65G running windows 7 32 bit. Runs very well. CoreInfo confirms that the SL7QB has NX, but when I try to upgrade to Windows 10 32bit, the upgrade fails with "no NX available".
I have checked the bios of the P4I65G and I cannot see any way to turn on NX.
Is there any trick in getting NX turned on, or am I out of luck? |

| That's weird - I used to run an Asus P4P800 Deluxe back in the day with a 3.2/800/1M and it worked |

It works fine, except there is no way for me to turn on NX.

Has anyone tried to run one of these 64 bits 478 Cpus in a Laptop?
Don't have any Pentium 4 Laptop yet but considering to switch several of my MicroAtx Systems to Laptop for even more room and some convenience...
There has got to be at least one nice Desktop Replacement or so from the era with Wddm Capable Graphics that would support the SL7QB and all... _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |
