Hi!
I got this nice little chip by a friend from his box if East German standards chips. See the label. U**** is typical for only two fabs! Telefunken and all East Germans fabs. But I doubt it's East German. 1st I have no datasheet... I nearly have datasheets to all EG chips. 2nd is the unusual housing and pin configuration. MME / ZMD / AMD never made housings like this...
Any ideas?

| I have never seen legs terminated to the ceramic body on the bottom like that. |

That's actually not all that uncommon; the MK6021 on the left has its pins attached underneath:
I've seen a few dozen chips like those over the years... e.g., a couple early Fairchild ICs - 3501 ROM, 3750 D/A converter, 3800 bit-slice CPU - all use that same kind of cerdip package. (In fact, their lids are on the bottom too.)
