Did you try to remove the white paint it is covered in? I think this might help. _________________ Collecting soviet and western CPUs once again -- highfive to old-timers o/ |

Easy people, I don't think Slava meant that as an attack.
There have been cases with chips painted white (and other colors) yours doesnt so much look like that, especially with a gold top _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

The golden top is relatively wide.
Can't this be a hint for the manufacturer?
Though I have no idea this and the round corners seem to be significant. _________________ You may use the photos I have posted here under CC BY-NC-SA license. |

I've added another pic...(the first one) for a different hit in light...but I can't get any better then that.
I've scratch the back of the chip (that was not in my liking to do such a thing !)...anyways, it's still white so....?
the pins are silver, not gold.
Maybe just some sort of remake(cheap) eprom for some unknowed manufactures (fakes or such)...the board was never found again since we moved.I had several boxes of pc parts thrown out before we moved assuming it was all junk.I usualy do this(removing chips/throw the rest out).Takes less room this way, but it didn't pay for me to clean-up this time ! ...now I'll never know what the eprom is...
Thanx anyways, I'll keep it as a reminder |

Ok.........
I've decided to do something for the curious !
Since this eprom has now value to me(unknowned), I will put it to the test !
And now, after pinching myself, the eproms dramatic end !!!
We can see that it ws indeed a white plastic/ceramic package after all.The results after cutting it in half !
...what a sad day !
ps, the gold was gold ! |
