Fake cpu or only a misprinting Pentium CPU with the unusual Intel Pentium Logo (not on top but middle)?

Any idea?

Thanks,

Billy

I don't believe on misprint in Pentiums. There were too much fake CPUs. I think it is next Pentium 90 at original.

Yes, it's proved fake cpu. I setup a Windows ME system and HWinfo software to get its CPUID. It's 00525 (Pentium 90). But the artwork of this fake cpu is excellent.

BTW, I have a misprint cpu(see picture). The front is PCPU3V75 SZ977, but the back is A80502-75 SX977.

How do you determine from the CPUID that it is a Pentium 90? A80502-100 SX970 also has CPUID 0525, so the CPUID could also prove it to be correct. If HWINFO says that CPUID is only for a Pentium 90, then you really do need to update your CPUID software, as a CPUID can apply to any of a range of processors, and for the Pentium there is no way I know of to determine which it is (short of having an app set up to test for every possible spec change listed in the spec updates, which will still only indicate the core revision, not the rated processor speed...).

I got the following ID information about this Pentium 100 SX970 (L5023950) from HWinfo:

0000525
GenuineIntel
P54C-C1/C2;P54LM-mA1(VRT);P54CQS

In order to obtain more information about SX970, I use another SX970 (I 90% believe it's genuine cpu.) to get the ID information using the same Windows system.

I got the followings:

0000525
GenuineIntel
P54C-C1/C2;P54LM-mA1(VRT);P54CQS

The result is exactly the same.

Does it mean the SX970 (L5023950-0598) is not fake? (I doubt that it's fake because the date code is not matched (Front is week 02, 1995; Back is week 08, 1995)
