I won't be surprised that the PCI database will not turn up with Vendor ID: 8086, Device ID: 1A12 for that video device listed here.

Timna QV18 CPUID Info pulled from Everest under Windows XP added below.

The Windows 2000 Timna GPU drivers will install under XP if you use the "choose driver myself" + "have disk" options under device manager to manually install it. Running the install exe results in a compatibility error.

Cant remember if Windows XP had a compatibility mode like WIn 7 for running programs like that

It does. I’m pretty sure I tried it and it didn’t work, but not 100% sure. Installing manually worked fine though.

I found an ASUS TMA-PL Socket 370S Timna motherboard and got it working with a QV18 Timna sample. Initially the board would not power on, but replacing the CMOS battery did the trick. The Intel Timna graphics drivers for Win9x work correctly and I was able to run a few 3DMark tests to verify. The onboard audio and most chipset features work fine. I had some issues with the onboard NIC and PS/2 mouse port, but just chose to not use them.

The board uses SDRAM and has an Intel MTH to handle the RDRAM-SDRAM conversion for the Timna memory controller.

MTH part number:
FW82805AA
QA32ES

ICH2 Southbridge part number:
FW82801BA
Q965ES

Apologies for necro-ing, but I have the same Timna board and it's currently nonfunctional. I have a good CMOS battery installed already but it refuses to POST. Would you be able to share a BIOS dump for me to compare against?

Unfortunately the link to the drivers I provided earlier is no longer valid. The old internet is eroding every day. Thankfully I saved a copy of all three drivers. I provided them to CPU_Shack. Perhaps they can be hosted elsewhere or provided upon request. Smile

There are special Vintage editions of CPU-Z, HWinfo and SIV. It may show more informations or you can even help them to improve these utilities to show correct informations. Maybe development is not active now, but it can be in the future again.

Got the same System myself Very Happy !

I ran Windows 8 Developer Preview on it, Prototype Software on Prototype Hardware!
The Screenshots are in True Color, but in fact the image was actually displayed in some kind of 16 colors greyscale for some reason... And of course, the manual Win2kb51 Driver installation is no longer working with such a generational gap Lol
As it has been observed, Cpu-Z thinks that it is a Banias Pentium M, and gets its multiplier completely wrong... Validation (Vintage)

Now need some Es Ram, Psu, and Hdd or Compact Flash to have a 100% Prototype system Lol
Well, honestly I don't really want to power the system on again and risk frying the Cpu at any time, since there is no way to set less than 2.05V for some reason, while the Qv18 is supposed to work at 1.65V...
Maybe that is why only a minority of Timnas from my source were still working...

Has anyone attmepted to load the BIOS in a AMIBCP or similar to see if voltage control can be added? Unless it's a hardware limitation...

I am not very familiar with Bios Modding in general and could share the Bios Dump if an expert in the domain wants to investigate...
MD5 Hash if someone who also has the Board wants to check if we have the same Bios: 2e444005f32cc82d3752657df02dbe4b

Phoenix Bios Editor says "No BCPs found!" and AmiBcp "Couldn't open the file" (though it makes sense since it is an Award Bios Lol). CbRom hangs indefinitely when trying to display the Bios Info with /D.

Would definitively be interesting to see what happens at intended Voltages...
