I managed to test two Pentium 4 Engineering samples that look very close to each other: Q87XES and Q88XES
Both are supposed to be Pentium 4 550/550J due the JM80547PG0961M p/n written on the IHS.
I tested both on my Asus P5P43TD, here are the results:
Q87XES: DEP (Data Execution Prevention) available -> Pentium 4 550J
Q88XES: EMT64 available -> Pentium 4 551
So, Q88XES should be JM80547PG0961MM. It looks like we can’t 100% rely on the IHS markings… _________________ http://www.x86-guide.net/Xhoba/en/collection.html |

Nice work and does make sense
Base part was JM80547PG0961
They just added M or MM based on features, which likley happened after the ES stage _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
