Not many other options in the US sadly, there are other money transfer services but they all have fees in the US (though some apparently have better exchange rates) . Wire transfers work, but in the US there is a $25 fee to receive one (of any amount)
For people in the US there are free options (Venmo, checks and cash) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Maybe transferwise is an option
https://transferwise.com
You can pay in Euro and the recipient receives $US like a domestic transfer.
The currency rate is much better than paypal.
I have used it many times when we were in australia. _________________ best regards borris

Thanks for the info. I planned to ask about that because I have promotion to send any wiretransfer to any country for free but in transfer must be marked "costs divided". In that case I will get free but someone from US will pay 25 USD. It is jerk's buisness. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

That's what I was thinking about, I've already used it to send money to the UK and China with lower commissions and a more favorable exchange rate |

Are there now unconditional 25% Customs Fees for things from China (and Mexico + Canada) with the new Trump Tariffs?
I ordered something from there but put Avicc's Address instead of mine by mistake
It is some cheap ~$10 Free Shipping thing but if Customs charge like $20 of "Brokerage Fees" or so when something has to be paid, I might be better off trying to contact the Seller Asap to cancel the Order rather than just live with it...
Is there still some Threshold, just much lower than $800 or $1000 or whatever it was previously, or things get taxed no matter what? _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |

So far everything has come fine under the de minimis exemption (still $800 for now while they sort things out)
(from China, and Canada and some EU countries so far)
Probably good to avoid using UPS coming TO the US, as they love their fees (they will charge a $50 fee on $0.05 of tax)
USPS, perfectly fine. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

The packages I sell from eBay to the United States have started to be taxed (seller pays taxes 54%)
Who knows the tariff collection status of packages sent by individuals to the United States?
It is said that individual small packages in China cost 54% or $100 per.
I don't know when to calculate based on 54% and when to calculate based on $100 per item.
Does anyone know? |

Politicians in Panic Mode here with some new 39% Tariffs in effect from now on...
Any change regarding the De Minimis Exemption now or still the same?
Or was it in fact already reduced given the previous Xiaoyanxu post? Or just for China at that time? _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |
