| Heavily suspect they aren't but still wondering. 2697 V2 at stupid clocks would be hilarious (and set the VRM of my R4BE on fire) |

Some are unlocked but usually only the ones that have retail counterparts with unlocked multipliers.
ie, E5-1650, E5-1660, E5-1680, V1 and V2 are unlocked.
I have a QBDS ES Xeon that is equivalent to a hypothetical "E5-1640" and it is also unlocked.
I don't believe there are any multi-socket sandy/ivy bridge xeons with unlocked multipliers. At least I'm not aware of any. I've seen folks speculate on this quite a bit but the chips never seem to manifest. _________________ My collection |
