Yes My PC is set to automatically receive all Microsoft updates

OH WOW...............Problem Solved.
I was sitting in front of my PC Last Night waiting for it to do yet another virus scan and think about all the steps I had taken to try and solve this puzzle.
The only thing I hadn't done was to power down my ADSL Modem and restart it.
Did that this morning and UREKA..............Problem Solved.
I was astounded..... Such a simple fix that I had not considered before.
Just goes to show you you cannot take things for granted but I am still puzzled as to why the Modem itself would cause that problem.

 Yes I should Buy A Gun and use it as a Target but then I think of the Money I would have to shell out for another Modem and it gets a repreive
