Intel provides the support for the open standard PCI local bus architecture has been in place. It uses 32- or 64-bit local bus architecture that uses high-bandwidth between the system's processor and its peripherals. The 82420 PCIset chipset supports the Intel486 processors and the 82430 PCIset chipset supports Pentium processors. The PCI specification 2.0 supports the 3.3-volts electrical definition for the energy efficient system. Also, this version supports new board dimension specification as well. This is part of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group (PCI SIG) consortium.

There are available three credit-card-size faxmodem using PCMCIA type 2 series cards with available of 24/96, 96/96, and 14.4/14.4 speed version. Prices ranges were available from USD $249 to $499 respectfully.

Available version of video encoder using the Intel Smart Video Recorder using its video format that can be distributed using Microsoft's Video for Windows software and other software such as Apple's QuickTime for Windows product, IBM OS/2 R2.1 and upcoming Multimedia Presentation Manager software as well.
