Help identify two old CPUs (Celeron 1.8 with metal IHS/QR code, Pentium III with Q-code)
Body:
Hello everyone,
I bought these two CPUs on a second-hand platform. Could anyone help me identify what exact models they are?
**CPU 1 (Celeron):**
- Top mark: "Celeron 1.80GHz/128/400"
- S-spec: SL876
- Date code: L434B452 (seems to be 2004 packaging)
- Features: metal IHS (uncommon for Celeron), QR code on IHS, no specific model number
- Sticker: from Chinese distributor Synnex
**CPU 2 (Pentium III):**
- Top mark: "Pentium III 667/256/133/1.65v"
- Code: Q020A063-0191 XL3XW (Q-code suggests Engineering Sample?)
- Made in Malaysia
I've attached photos. Any info about their rarity or background would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for the info. One more thing — what is the QR code on the IHS? I've never seen a QR code on an Intel CPU before. Is this something Intel used for OEM/tracking purposes? |

It's a data matrix that typically includes the lot code of the part.
Also your P3 part is not an engineering sample. Engineering sample parts will not have an s-spec starting with S, but a QDF starting with Q. The starting character in the lot code simply designates where the part was assembled.

One more thing — the IHS (integrated heat spreader) on this Celeron is larger than usual. It covers almost the entire PCB, with only about 2mm of the substrate visible around the edges. Also, all the markings are laser-etched directly on the IHS, not on the PCB. |

For Pentium 4 based Celerons, an IHS is pretty much an "always there" thing. And it will cover most of it.
For the Pentium III, I would guess you've made a typo, and that it's an SL3XW rather than the XL3XW? The Q in the code is just part of manufacturing site/date |
