Er... What happened to the rest of the calculator? The valuable part was the Nixie tube display.

are all the calcs up on a website?
I noticed some people cleaning up in the calculator cats.. old calculators going for very little as there are not many bidders.
I dont bother collecting calculators .. the HP85 is a nice machine though .. you wouldnt happen to have a memory disk for one of those would you? |

Nope, way too much work. Between my chip, computer, calculator, etc. collections I've got about 160 gigs of photos, scans, and other related material. I guess you might say I'm a pack rat.

Depends on the calculator... A lot of the late-'60s desktop units can fetch a pretty penny, as well as some of the earlier handhelds:

At one time I had an entire HP-85. Wasted countless hours playing "Hunt the Wumpus" on it. It had a tape drive built-in, so I didn't have much need for an external disk drive.

yeah.. its the tape drive I need.. not for use, as I suspect the original magnetic media has deteriorated beyond use. I have plenty of paper |
