I was asked about an Acer Aspire E360 for basic video editing, you know the home made birthday party cut and burnt on dvd...

The only shame is that it comes with XP Home.

Can anyone into editing give me an opinion?

I don't really have a good feeling on it, but since it's not for me maybe for basic it's just good enough.

Thanks.

P.s. X2 3800/512/nforce430/160GB/GeForce 6100 (integrated graphics).
The link is in italian but you can easily understand it, us or uk have different specs, so not useful to post.

I'd stay away from Acer.... and away from anything all-onboard solution for video editing machine...
find a technitian or a store that can build your machine with components you pick...
get a nice vga card like X1300-X1600 with 256MB ram... and 1GB RAM for the pc itself, SATAII HDD ......
as for CPU and mobo you should either go AMD with a new AM2 board or Intel with a board supporting newer C2D cpu ....

That's how I think about it...

Acer is giving away pcs to make some room.

Thanks.
