Well, if you look at the forum list, you have:

For Sale/Trade thread (collectables)
For Sale (auction links).

So it seems an amicable solution to have a

For Sale (closed bidding)

The nature of closed bidding inevitably leads to mistrust. I have no interest personally in taking part in such events, either on here or on ebay.

Its fine if the seller does their job, but if the seller takes an offer, then lists the chip on eBay, it makes people wonder.

If the offers tendered aren't acceptable, it seems to me the seller has every right to try elsewhere. He could very well end up getting less for it in the process, but I don't see anything nefarious in doing so.

As for the whole trust issue, I can tell you from personal experience (on Ebay and in real life) that there are just as many shady buyers as sellers... Non-payment, withdrawn offers, shill bidding - you name it.

Edit: Just now noticed there are 3 "no" votes. Smile

when they accept your offer and then list it on ebay anyways is what I mean, or accept your offer, then ask for more offers.

Gennadiy maybe it is good idea but who read this will remember that and use it or not. New users will do what they want because will not read this topic and not submit to this rule.

Vote result is like soccer match between Germany and San Marino (13:0) Smile ... in fact colossal difference. I'm not moderator or admin so what will be done is not my choice. What can be sure is that I will not be a person who will offer in that topics because I saw how it was with jrmunro. That is all from me.

My experience is that if a majority of the active users in a forum votes for a rule change or any other change the admin/owner usually do so. Perhaps Genna is just letting everyone have a chance to vote before doing a change?

But as always, its Gennas forum, server and the vote should only be considered a hint of what the users think.

It cant hurt to try a change. Maybe it will be a runaway success.

The Swedes are known for their diplomatic skills, perhaps genetic? Wink

But yes, in fact, the ones who voted ARE the forum.
