Why? It's clock doubled and runs at 33MHz external clock.

What was reason to doubled clock ?

EDIT : You mean it should work with 386 DX 33 MHz ?

Perhaps, I expressed badly in my previous post.

Like for IIT 487DLX25/50 (Clock doubled version of the IIT-3C87) this Math-Co DX-2, can be used with any CPU 386. The important is have a mainboard that it allows asynchronous job between CPU and FPU. The last generations 386 mainboard have the possibility to have a faster FPU of the CPU. Wink

Someone has ever tried IIT 487DLX25/50 ? Wink

I don't believe, USLI produce a FPU that works with a single model of CPU. What politics of production would it be?

There are other clock doubled 486 upgrades with 386 pin-out. The TI 486SXL2 and SXLC2 are two that spring to mind without looking on any site for inof...

I say only that works with all 386. Is possible in the same system 386 two different speeds for CPU and FPU. icon_ciggy
Naturally if together to a cpu x2 (Synchronous job) the performances of the system are taller. icon_flower
