I'm also very selective about who I will buy from in China. I won't buy from a seller who sends me spam to advertise their eBay auctions. I also won't buy from a seller who doesn't reply to questions, especially when posted openly in this forum.
I will however buy from Chinese sellers who show themselves to be serious sellers (such as Pinkie, among others) and who have respect for the buyer.
I got my "Cyrix" DX2 V80gp this morning from ntenter and it is the same as the one Pinkie showed pics of while cleaning it - an IBM 486DX2 covered in paint A better chip for me, but it's always better to know what you are buying at the time of purchase (including BGA chips which need reballing or are too badly damaged to even consider that as an option...) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
I can resist anything except temptation.

I like love buying CPUs from China especially from CPUbar, pinkie, chipsfans, ntenter. I highly recommend them. Chinese sellers have many many CPUs because scrap yards from over world send cpus to ... China. This country is real gold mine of rarest CPUs in whole world but in same time biggest source of fake chips _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

My only problem on taobao is finding the chips! Some sellers do not describe their chips very well, it makes it hard to search. |

No way you can find nice and cheap chips in auction site
The real answer lies in the scrapyard / electronic component market in China |
