I have a P4 Socket 423 1.8Ghz ES. It is really cool.

You might find a P4 423. You might find a P4 ES. But a 423 ES?

The most wanted CPU is the chip that nobody else has Smile It'd be cool to get C4040 with gray traces, or C4004/C8008 engineering sample or very early version. From newer processors I'd like to get Nexgen 6x86, Winchip 3, or Rise MP6 ES.

The best processors in my collection are: AMD C8080, Motorola XC68000 with serial number, and from newer ones AMD K6 (black), K5 samples, MII Mobile processors.

Very nice! Those are the REAL ES. For some reason Intel liked to make their P4 ES 800Mhz. Maybe so noone would want them when the production versions came out (because they were so slow)?

I have a 478 Willamette ES too. No Northwood yet, but I think I have a lead on one.

I almost have a Nexgen.... I hope. I have an Alaris VLB mobo for it, with the VL northbridge chip. Hopefully it all works. I would love the PCI mobo, but I haven't seen one.

And I just picked up some UMC 486s (not really rare elsewhere, but hard to come by in the US.) I had been looking for some for quite a while.

I'm quite interested in rare Winchips... I have one ES, but I don't think it's a very rare one.

Newer VIA stuff is also a passion of mine. I just picked up a Samuel I, 550Mhz. I have lots of Samuel IIs, and an Ezra 1Ghz (in a can!). I don't have a Nehemiah yet, but I have an EPIA.

I would also like an SiS 550... I can't find one anywhere. I have a working AMD Elan, though.

And yes, I would commit a capital crime for an MII Mobile!

Hi,

For some reason i have a weak spot for Cyrix and K5 cpu's. I was very very happy when i finnaly got an AMD K5 PR200! Still looking for Engineering samples of the K5.

Cpu's i am proud of that are in my collection are the Weitek coprocessors, the NexGen's and the UMC 486 PQFP!

What is with those Cyrix mobile CPU's? I have never seen them other than here. I have a MII 333 with a silver top at 2.2v, is that a mobile one too?

Hello,

The CPU I'm most proud of in my collection is a white gold top gold pins 8080 with no pre- or postfix codes. It has been in my custody since 1975.

Among those on my wish list is a C4040. I have one but it has been desoldered. And a C4004 white-grey without scratches. I have two but with lot of scratches.

Regards,
Bjørn
