This idea hatched when I was reading an article on the penitum m archetecture and found that maxed out it still dosen't reach 30 watts. I thought, lots of graphics cards that are more then 30 watts are passively cooled. Unless I'm mistaken many of our processors of old with their lousy tiny heatsinks were more than 30 watts. On top of that many of these mobile processors can run at near 100 Celsius. Later on I discovered that the AMD Turion 64 also runs at less than 30 watts (MT verision not ML) and fits a normal socket 754. Once I had learned of the existance of fanless power supplies I was ready to go. My plan is to put the turion on a fanless motherboard, with a fanless graphics card and a fanless power supply. I will top it off with a zalman cnps700b processor heatsink (fan removed.) I figure if I put it all in a case with lots of holes for ventilation (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811204016) it just might work. What do you all think? Crazy or brilliant?

Also, anyone got a better idea for the processor heatsink? I will have to be really carefull not to crack the turion die since it is exposed so I'm looking for any suggestions on the best heatsink to do this with.
