Is it possible to replace a Compaq V2000 that currently has a Sempron, with any other amd proccessor, perhaps a Turion 64. Or even a higher rated Sempron. Can this be done? Or is it just to difficult or not feasible.

It seems that V2000 is a Pentium-M notebook. Do you have Compaq V2000 or V2000z or V2000something? V2000z comes with Semprons or Turions.

These laptops were sold with Turion ML-37 processor, so I think you can upgrade at least to that processor. I also
found that someone upgraded it to Turion MT-40:

Yes, it is possible to replace the processor of a v2000.I just recommend that you download the schematic for that note book before you do so and make sure the processor has the same specs as the old one but the pro speed. Happy upgrading.
