I am going to get a new computer soon and have found two that are within my budget. The processors on each computer are as follows:
Intel Pentium 4 - 3.4 ghz
Pentium D 820 - 2.8 ghz
I have a feeling the Pentium D is newer and may actually be better than the Pentium 4....but I am not sure. What would you go for, and why? One thing's for shure, it's gotta beat my 1.6 ghz Athlon

pentium d 820 is better for multitasking and pentium 4 (it supposed to be prescott no?) it's faster when doing only one task
