| Stole this board out of my Alphagen (Amiga?) rackmount thinger. What is it? I assumed it was the CPU/RAM card, at 50MHz... Can anybody elighten me? Why is it on a card like this? |

| motorolla 68030 processor. I believe 50mhz was the fastest speed it came in. This class of processors was used in some mac machines. |

I think it's an upgrade card.
Such cards can have up to 16 MB RAM and they drastically increase the speed of Amiga or Mac (up to 800% !)
The FPU is missing on your card.
If you have drivers and user manual for it (and can find the FPU) you can sell it for a large amount of money ! |

Neat. I found the product it came out of, still being sold.... But not for anything near what was paid for it It's the "MAgicbox Alphagen" and it will be neat for the next LAN party, High score table! |
