Anyone(except chiptalk) here collect FAKE chips ?

CPUPal, I think you MUST remind that they are FAKE chips on your ebay auction, so someone isn't a member here can know they are FAKE chips.

Thank you!

Totally agree. They are fakes and should be sold as such.

(And, yes i have started buying some fakes lately. They are a part of the cpu history as much as any other chip. Many other collecting areas also has fakes and collectors that collects them. Why not cpus...)

I think many collectors like me, they don't collect FAKEs, so a notice on ebay auction is important if you know that you are selling a FAKE.

PS, I saw many FAKEs(maybe above 50 kind) in my region, I don't think they are worth much for collection, I think less than $5 each is better if you collect them. Wink

I think it is fraud if you sell a fake chip KNOWING that it is fake, and you don't tell a potential buyer. So telling a buyer is not only good for the buyer, it is good for the seller - it can help avoid prosecution Smile

I even think it is fraudulent to sell a fake chip even if you tell it is a fake. At least it is the case for counterfeits goods. It is prohibited to sell them (on ebay or anywhere else) even if you state it is a counterfeit item.

But back to cpu, I highly doubt Intel would pursue ebay sellers who sells fake pentium Smile
