Well my 6 year old HP 720C finally broke and have been looking at new printers.
I have read reviews on 2 or 3 that I was interested in but users reviews
are very mixed on each of them. I was mainly looking at HP as my old printer
worked great and so does my HP scanner ( 6 year old Scanjet 5P ) allthough
with XP I can`t use the software that came with it.

HP 6940 and 6980 were 2 of them

Does anyone here have an opinion on a good printer in the $150+ range?

Thanks
John

Hehe..
I'm still using my old HP officejet 635 + I found 2 more spaires for parts. For me, it's the way to go. It worked great, and still does Wink

Printer/scanner/fax .

Using original inks - Canon Pixma 4200.
If you think about refill cardridges use HP.

I use HP Photosmart 7450.
