Heat gun can work find for some kind of glue, but not all.

You can try to move the HS with heat gun.
Maybe the glue will be melt, you can remove it easy, and then you can clean the glue with a tissue carefully when the glue still melting.

I agreed with JAC to leave the HS on top if the heat gun can not work for it.
The printing will be damage easily if force the HS off.

Leave it on. If you use physical force you will damage the print underneath. If you use a heat gun you may melt the solder holding on the gold lid and end up with the heat sink off - but lid still attached to heatsink.

I agree if it's not easy to remove, leave it. I destroyed (completely shattered) what turned out to be a Ceramic QSpec Pentium 66 by trying to force the heatsink off (it took me quite some time to remove enough of the broken ceramic to see what print had been left on the heatsink glue). Needless to say I was pretty pissed off with myself when I realised what a fool I had been!
