Green company made some 387 FPUs :

But that company wasn't in cooporation with UMC at 486s manufacturing - UMC Green CPU (like ST - SGS Thomson) ? Or maybe Green was UMC ?

The Green chips I thought were made by
L C Technology.

Ahh yes you are right. Now I found this information on Green FPU Brick wall

But still I don't know why UMC CPU is marked with Green. I don't think it is model name. Maybe I'm in wrong.
