Fastest AMD XP CPU for MSI MS 6382 Mobo.

Currently running the above mobo with a XP1600 CPU (1400mhz). What would be the fatest I could fit.

I suspect it is Medion-MSI version of motherboard. Isn't it ? Profesionally it is called MSI OEM so you will not have any help from MSI online service Sad

I will check in GOOGLE what is wrote about that model.

Thanks Marcin.

Yes the PC is a Time System & I couldn't find any info on the "sticky" in this forum.

I've found some technical info that says the max CPU speed is a 1500mhz but I'm sure I've read that some people have used higher than this.

Sean, I found that too in motherboard manual. But that is VIA KT266A chipset which support in most cases Athlon XP 2600+ with 266 MHz FSB. If in your bios there is option to set manual multiplier to 16x I would risk and buy that CPU.
