Why are these processors so popular? Granted they may be the last of the line in upgrading a socket7 system, but there are much faster processors for cheaper.

The fastest is a 570.. I've got one. I think a few other users have too

K6-III+ 570 ? I had in my hands K6-III+ 550 but only one day.
