socket a duron processor
there is no lever on the socket and i dont know how to unlock so i can change it
please help =( |

Euummmm......can you provid either a picture or ID number of the motherboard?
We're kinda in the dark with your problem here!
The only thing I can think of , is that it is a "soldered chip" (none removable). Some manufacture made built-in chips packages for their motherboards. A stupid idea if you ask me !
But again, this might not be the case for you since I can't see your board, or know it's identity

| Found this picture on ebay - drawings are mine insert screwdriver in the right slot (to release or mount) and press the processor in direction of arrow. had the same system in an old celeron notebook so im quite shure about this. |

Those are glitchy tho, I have some experience.
Odds are, you can slide the processor right straight out, and then flip the lever to 'open' and put your upgrade in it, and then flip to 'closed'.
Make sure and use a plastic tool!! |
